Here is a sneak peek at a new piece of art that I’m working on. It’s called ‘offering’. I’m using watercolour, acrylic, coloured pencil and graphite - on canvas! Love mixed media :)

So here is my first post about my work. This is the process in creating the wolf skull illustration for my blog! I chose a wolf skull because I’m gaga over wolves and anatomy so it really sums me up. I think wolves are the most fascinating, beautiful, noble, ancient creatures to walk the earth and they can teach us alot. They are associated with pagan religions because in their own way - they worship the moon. But enough of that!
I started sketching out the outline of the skull on paper, I then gave it a peat brown ink wash before working into the drawing with graphite. Because the graphite is reflective its all too easy to loose detail when you scan the piece in, so I used photoshop to enhance the shades that had been lost. I’m really pleased with it, what do you think?
